Breeder’s information: This variety’s black centre is an eye catcher because there isn’t any pollen to spoil it.
As the flower doesn’t produce any pollen, the plant has a much longer shelf life than existing varieties during the
consumer trading period. Due to the compact plant shape, less growth retardant is needed which benefits the
environment and the wallet. Moreover “Sunsation” grows quicker than all other varieties.
Premium Sunflowers: Trial results confirm that this variety currently has the shortest cultivation period.
The flower is bright yellow, without any orange coloured parts, with a very dark, black centre. Growth performance
is normal. This variety branches easily and well when cultivated as container or bedding plant.
